Blind Alley Optical is owned and operated by me, Flip Brubeck and offers the latest in Eyeglasses, Eyewear, Custom Designer Frames and Contacts. I am a Registered Optician and have been serving Richmonders for the past 14 years.

When you come to my shop you will be dealing directly with me...not an hourly employee who can't be bothered with total customer service.

I opened the shop in February of 2005 to fill a need in the Richmond area...an alternative to optical chains. There are so many people who want that personal touch. Let's face it - purchasing glasses, like so many other things these days, is an investment. Especially for the 40 and up gang who are presbyopic and need help seeing close. My feeling is when someone comes into my store and spends good money, they deserve a quality product, honesty and integrity, a pleasant shopping experience and to walk out the front door seeing, looking and feeling absolutely fabulous!

Blind Alley Optical - Large Selection Don't be fooled by television commercials comparing independent optical shops to chain establishments. When shopping for frames and lenses, you have to compare apples to apples.

Example: quality frame, varilux progressive, crizal anti-glare with a 2 year warranty - it will cost you more at a chain than it will here. But if the quality of a product doesn't concern you then a chain known for cheap glasses is probably where you should go. And when you walk out of the store thinking you got one heck of a bargain. Remember...they made a profit. Then ask yourself... "just how good are these glasses?".
